At GPI, we like to walk the walk as well as talk the talk. With that in mind, each quarter, we will demonstrate how we have gone above and beyond to live by our core company values. This quarter, we will be focusing on change is good.
About our company values – change is good
GPI are a forward-thinking, agile and innovative organisation with a collection of inspiring teams and individuals. Change happens all around us every day, particularly in the life-science industry and GPI aspire to be at the forefront of that change. We are always looking for new and innovative ways to respond to opportunities in the sector, finding creative solutions to industry challenges.
We have recently demonstrated our commitment to change and innovation by taking on an overhaul of GPI pulse™ to bring greater value to our clients.
We have learned a great deal over the last few years regarding the structure (or lack of structure) in drug pricing and market access data, how that data can be collected and how our clients want to use that data to expedite their launch strategies and realise further opportunities. We saw a gap to improve both the internal systems and the outputs that we can provide for our clients, sparking a project of change and innovation that lead to our new analytics platform GPI pulse™ 2.0.
GPI pulse™ 2.0 brings a new, automated method to collect and display data. The project included a great deal of restructuring of datasets, creating automation in data cleansing and creating consistency in disparate data sets, all with the goal of making it easier for clients to access the right data at the right time.
Our robust and comprehensive system collects data from a wide variety of sources, where there is no standardisation. We have worked to automate a great deal of the manual processes to bring that data together – faster, providing more value to our clients.
Working with one of our partners, SoftServe, to explore different ways to present the data, helped to pave the way to build new analytics modules and to use more AI to provide more useful insights. Our GPI pulse™ clients can now see connected, unified data sets where there was once disparity and separation. This allows them to see their data of interest more efficiently and generate further insights and value, quickly.
Behind the scenes, the restructuring of our internal databases to better represent the data we receive, helps users find the data they need faster and make use of our meta-data and tagging, allowing them to filter quickly based on specific requirements. Additionally, the automation of many of our internal processes, using a combination of third-party tools, such as Alteryx, improves the quality and timeliness of our data. Also, by removing the manual work needed, more of our expertise is being used in adding further value to help our clients.
We are always looking out for new and innovative solutions and pulse™ 2.0 is a great example of why we value ‘change is good’. By listening and learning from our clients, we changed the way in which we worked with our partners, re-structured our processes of data collection and display, resulting a more powerful analytics platform. Adding increased value to our clients and to the wider industry is something we take pride in at GPI, and we will continue to live by our company values – helping to drive change for the better.
