– #ProblemSolver – Every new request came with its own set of challenges, but I’ve always enjoyed breaking things down and figuring out a clean solution. Whether it’s UiPath or migrating Alteryx workflows or optimizing massive datasets, I like the kind of work that pushes me to think deeper.
What’s a work habit or routine that keeps you grounded? – Understanding the data first
– I never jump into writing queries without context. I also prefer tackling work in stages and validating things step-by-step, which helps avoid surprises later on.
If your role at GPI was a character in a movie, who would it be and why?
– Tony Stark – A bit of a tech geek with a problem-solving mindset. I like building systems that work smart, not just hard – and sometimes I pull off results that even I didn’t expect.
What’s the most unexpected skill you’ve developed at work?
– Understanding the business angle behind technical requests. I used to focus purely on logic and queries, but now I always think about how it ties back to the end-users and decisions being made.
What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from your team?
– The power of collaboration. Whether it’s the pricing team, indication group, HTA team, engineering, or even the dev team – the best outcomes always happen when everyone brings their piece to the puzzle. Individual effort matters, but it’s teamwork that truly drives impact.
What advice would you give your past self on your first day at GPI?
– “Be patient and enjoy the learning curve.” Early on, I used to chase perfection in every task. Now, I value the process and learning more than getting everything right on the first try.
What’s something about your job that people might find surprising?
– That I don’t just clean or transform data – I build automated workflows, optimize large queries, and even handle full migration of reports across systems. From Alteryx to SQL stored procedures, I work end-to-end. I know RPA (Robotic Process Automation), which I used to streamline repetitive tasks in the past, and I’ve also worked with Python for more complex data manipulations and automation. I’m always quick to learn new technologies, so I’m able to adapt and apply the best tool for the job. It’s a full-stack approach to problem-solving, not just limited to databases.
What’s a professional goal you’re chasing this year?
– To start picking up a new tech stack like Advanced Python, Advanced SQL, Azure– so I can eventually contribute to full-stack projects.
If you could automate one task in your daily work, what would it be?
– Automating the end-to-end delivery of client reports and daily BAU workflows for the data team. From refreshing data to validating exports and sending out final outputs — a lot of steps still need manual checks. If this process could run on its own with minimal intervention, it would ensure smooth, on-time deliveries for clients and free up the team’s time to focus on more value-added tasks.
Fun & Personal Interests
What personal or professional milestone are you hoping to hit in Q2?
– Professionally, I want to complete the full automation of key reporting workflows like Clarivate and Indication-COT, so they can run with minimal manual effort. That’ll make a big difference in both efficiency and delivery timelines. On a personal front, I’m aiming to consistently upskill — especially around new tech like Python libraries or cloud tools — even if it’s just a few hours every week. Small, consistent wins.
