Pricing and Market Access Pharma Teams

Feasibility teams at global CROs are under increasing pressure to deliver faster answers—often across multiple therapy areas and markets at once. Turnaround expectations of around two weeks leave little room for fragmented data, manual validation, or rework. At the same time, sponsors expect clear, confident recommendations backed by transparent evidence.

This was the challenge facing the feasibility team at a global full-service CRO conducting multiple clinical trial feasibility assessments in parallel.

The challenge: speed, scale, and clarity

The challenge: speed, scale, and clarity

The team was managing a high volume of feasibility work, with each assessment requiring analysis across multiple data types and sources. Key challenges included:

  • Multiple simultaneous feasibility assessments
  • Large volumes of data to analyse
  • Variable data quality and availability across different systems
  • The need to clearly present complex data to sponsor teams within tight timelines

Balancing speed with confidence in recommendations was becoming increasingly difficult.

The approach: embedding a consistent feasibility workflow

To support feasibility assessments across all therapy areas and markets, the team subscribed to GPI pulse™ for three years, covering all therapy areas and all 63 markets, with 45 users across the feasibility function.

The platform was embedded into day-to-day workflows, supported by:

  • Quarterly business reviews to provide feedback, understand usage, and align on upcoming priorities
  • Ongoing access to the GPI support team for clarity on data sources and methodology

This created a consistent foundation for feasibility analysis across the team.

What changed day to day

For each feasibility assessment, users followed a simple, repeatable process:

  • Search by indication or drug class of interest
  • Retrieve structured insights on commercial availability, regulatory approval, reimbursement decisions, and pricing data
  • Export graphs and maps for presentations, as well as Excel files for further analysis

This reduced the time spent sourcing, validating, and reformatting data, allowing teams to focus on interpretation and recommendations.

The impact: faster feasibility with greater confidence

The changes translated directly into measurable impact:

  • Boosted feasibility team efficiency, with approximately 100 unique searches per month on GPI pulse™ supporting completion of multiple feasibility assessments involving large volumes of data
  • Increased confidence in recommendations, driven by clear data sources and transparency in data collection methods, improving quality assurance for clinical trial recommendations
  • Stronger sponsor relationships, with the GPI support team responding to data queries within 24 hours, helping teams address sponsor uncertainties quickly
The-impact

Why it matters

For feasibility teams, delivering faster assessments isn’t enough on its own. Sponsors need confidence that recommendations are grounded in transparent, reliable data — and that questions can be answered quickly when uncertainty arises.

By embedding a consistent, scalable feasibility workflow, this CRO was able to improve efficiency while strengthening the quality and credibility of sponsor-facing recommendations.
